We created this fully GenAI-driven show opener for Confluent’s “Current 2025” event as a strategic alternative to live action, avoiding the cost and logistical challenges of shooting in airports and on airplanes while maintaining full creative control. Following a traditional production workflow including casting, wardrobe, and location development, we generated extensive visual options in Midjourney for client approval, refined frames and alternate angles with consistent actors and environments, and brought scenes to life using image-to-video models including SeedancePro, Veo, Kling, Sora, Minimax, and Wan. Even the motion graphics elements such as data visualizations, UI overlays, and the end tag were created with GenAI, resulting in production value comparable to a traditional shoot at a fraction of the cost and timeline while demonstrating how quickly this medium continues to evolve. As a wise man once told us, “AI today is the worst it’s ever going to be.”
